Alex Kusmin, a hitman working for the russian mafi a has just been diagnosed with terminal cancer when his boss,Nicolas Maximov, sends him to Berlin, to pick up something of high personal value for him: The watch, that Juri Gagarin wore on his first flight to outer space. Alex´ in Berlin living cousin Viktor, shall assist him. But when Alex arrives, he has to recognize that Viktor recently is going his own ways by setting up a prostitution ring. Alex decides to do at least one good deed before he dies by saving Viktor´s latest victim Tanja, who just arrived from the Ukraine, dreaming of a model career. This is the start of a pursuit crosstown Berlin, where Alex meets such bizarre characters like Stanislaw, the russian dealer in antiques, Orhan, a turkish nightclub owner and Sergej, the reigning world champion in chess boxing. Without willing Alex again has to kill a lot of people to get the watch and save Tanja. When Alex fi nally fulfi lls his mission and passes Gagarin´s watch to his boss, Maximov kills Alex instead of showing gratitude. A surprise? Not for Alex! he always knew that this would be the consequence of the mess he left behind in Berlin. But he dies also knowing that Tanja has a second chance to win a better life.
